Age: 30 (Species lives to be around 150, so think of him as a 20-year-old human)
Height: 6 feet 5 inches (from the tips of his ears)
Weight: 154 lbs (it’s muscle.)

Quick back-story: Before entering the competition, he was a gladiator on his home planet. His country is notorious for bringing in slaves from other countries, and he fights them for the crowd’s entertainment, usually killing them. He is used to the people cheering his name and throwing roses at him in the arena (because the people wouldn’t cheer for lowly slaves and immigrants). He represents the species, so of course he has to win. As rewards, the emperor gives him just about anything he wants—fine foods, gold and jewelry, and especially sex slaves (whether male/female/whatever, and from other species as long as they are physically beautiful and sex can happen).

Personality: Thus, Icarus is a very spoiled brat and he is not used to anyone denying him what he wants. He is extremely vain, always making sure he looks attractive, and will avoid those he considers “ugly.” He tells things like they are, rudely pointing out just about anything, usually using sarcasm and being cynical. If things go his way, he’s content, but will go into a furious rage when things are not. When in a good mood, he is a smooth talker and sociable (as long as he doesn’t say anything insulting). When upset, he’ll throw temper tantrums like a 5-year-old. He cares about no one but himself (but I would like to think he could make a friend he hates to admit he cares about).

Abilities: Nothing supernatural, but he is a skilled gladiator.

Strengths:
-He is an offensive powerhouse in fighting. He relies on using massive weapons and his strategy is usually to charge head-on relentlessly. He hopes to kill/damage his opponent before they can get a move in.
-Thus he has good physical strength, skilled with large, sharp weapons (such as greatswords, battle-axes, morning stars).
-He is good at walking silently on his feet.

Weaknesses:
-He suffers from arthritis/painful joints from constantly wearing heavy armor in the gladiator arena.
-From an old head injury, Icarus gets extremely dizzy and lightheaded if he overexerts himself in combat. This can cause him to faint. (This isn't a problem for him in his home-world arena because the battles are skewed to be over quickly enough so the audience doesn't get impatient).
-He has no strategy or intelligent tactics towards fighting besides “wave this weapon repeatedly at their faces” and can be easily outsmarted.
-The scar on his chest is considered a weak point, being extremely sensitive and painful to touch. A blow to it will immediately send him to his knees.

Other information:
-Haut’Haurs are the prominent species of the country, and a fiercely proud race. It is odd to see other species that aren’t slaves present in the country.
-Icarus is an excessively sexual creature, spending his time before and after his battles having sex with one (…or more) of his many slaves. If someone passes his physical standards regardless of gender, he’ll attempt to flirt. He just wants sex, though, and not a relationship.
-He loathes his scars because he sees them as imperfections. He has one large one across his chest and one on his right eye. Both are from previous fights in the arena. He tries to cover his scarred eye with his bangs so others don’t have to see his imperfection. He is less inclined to keep his chest covered because he likes showing off his body, especially if he's planning on getting naked soon. There's also just an aesthetic difference from a scar on one's face and a scar on one's body. One makes him ugly, the other is more of a battle wound.
-The markings under his eyes are common for his species. It is supposed to symbolize crying for the martyrs during a religious war in their ancient history.
-He will adorn himself in crazy jewelry so that he can appear more attractive. He doesn’t wear it in the arena, however, because they just get in the way aside from simple earrings. He’s always putting on new jewelry and changing up his wardrobe.
-He is usually decked out in crazy armor in the gladiator arenas, but he won't have that with him for the tournament.

Do not worry about getting any of his small details right! Icarus is always changing his appearance, especially his jewelry, which he doesn't even always have on.
